Broadband speeds

I just noticed that BT are promising an increase in broadband speeds in our area. Typing my telephone number into their checker tells me BT infinity is not available here but that speeds up to 17mb will be available from 29th November 2012, currently I think it's 6mb max. I hope this is true and would be very welcome upgrade!
