Hi Tim

Many thanks for your reply I do have most of the info but what I was really after is a village historian who could tell me where different members of the family lived and had their business,s. I have general address,s ie Temple Street, High Street etc but I am trying to locate the actual houses and premises
for instance a family member ran the Swan public house and I have manage to Google that and it used to be opposite the church. Thanks again

One mention of the Welford family apears in a book about the windmill: "The Post Office directory for 1847 gives W.Wellford as miller - a surname inscribed inside the mill on the lower right side girt, though spelled 'Welford' (MAT/Logan). John Welford followed William as miller during the 1850s." & then: "Henry Nixey (born 1833) took over the mill in 1865"

Hi
Can anybody help me. I am doing my family tree and need some assistance. My family name is Welford and we were millers at the windmill, and many members of the family lived and worked in Brill marrying into the Nixey, Glady and Monks to name just three families.  Adrian
